It's been a while since the last time I updated my blog, really sorry about it. Not really that I'm too busy with life, but somehow losing the drive to write. Maybe it's because of few to none people reading, maybe it's because of my own laziness, maybe not sure what to write, maybe ......
Excuse after excuse, the updating blog process was delayed again and again, it made my heart ached just thinking about it. Even though there are very few to none readers who would visit my blog, but still it didn't feel good.
Finally, gathered bits of courage, logged into my blog, fingers danced happily on the keyboards, my heart felt calmer at last.

Kukup Trip 龟咯 - Day 1 (27th February)

After 10 minutes, we reached our destiny, it's well-decorated with red lanterns.
Beijing Resort

After finished releasing all the lanterns into the sky, we walked back to the inn. On the way back, we saw lots of beautiful fireworks.

Once reaching the inn, some planned to stay up, whereas for me, I chose to sleep.
UTM's Mandarin class organised a training camp in Kukup from 27th to 28th February 2010. First, we met up in N24. At 2.30pm, we took a bus to our destiny. Once seated, I pulled down my cap and enjoyed a short nap.

After traveling for roughly an hour, we reached our destiny, Kukup. We walked slowly towards Beijing resort, where we would spend our whole camp there. While chatting happily along the journey, some took a few shots.

Our rooms are above. After setting down, we had Ice Breaking activity to learn more about each other. Then, we had free time from 6 till 7. Hence, I went out for coconut with another 2 friends. I ordered a coconut puding, cost RM5.50. Quite nice, love the soft pudding, just that the coconut flesh wasn't as soft as I expected, but still nice.

At night, we had special guests: Chin Liang, Rock San and Chien Zheng who came all the way from UTM. Well, they have a special slot, that is to explain the history of UTM Mandarin Class. We all listened carefully. During the Q&A session, lots of great ideas and views were shared. Always great to see the enthusiasm from the tutors.

We had a lantern session before midnight. After buying 5 lanterns, we walked towards the empty spaces behind the Chinese Temple to release them into the sky.

Upon reaching the temple, the Chinese Opera was still going on. Too bad, they were using a Chinese slang that I don't understand at all.

After a while, we walked towards the empty space for the lantern. This was my first time releasing the lantern into the sky. After taking out the lantern from the package, admired it a bit (it's the first time seeing it in front of my eyes). Before checking out how to release them, hopes were written on the lanterns.

Then, spread out the lantern, burnt the burning material. A few of us hold onto the lantern, waiting for the hot air to fill up the lantern.

We had lots of fun. Just as we're reaching our inn, someone suggested to visit the last temple around here. Those who were too tired didn't follow. As for me, I just followed, it's not worthy to miss the places after all. Since it's over midnight, it's rather quiet around here, most of the residents were fast asleep by now, leaving behind empty streets, only fireworks showed up in the sky once in a while. After walking for about 15 minutes, finally we reached our destiny. We climbed up to the top and had a bird's view of the area here, it's quite a nice view. We took a few shots before going back to the inn.
