Well, I don't really want to write about some disaster just because it happened, but it's different this time, what can I say, well, Japanese are very unique community.
First, let's take a look at the photos circulated around the internet, we can see dozens of disaster pictures, a whole town was swept clean, houses being completely destroyed to nothing but debris, cars and even ships landed perfectly on buildings due to the tsunami, 10k+ people still being reported missing till now and was feared to have very minimal chances of living, at least 3 nuclear reactors have exploded, 50 samurai-spirited people stayed in the radiation polluted building just to minimise the radiation leak which is most likely to bring death upon themselves after 2 weeks due to strong radiation exposure for a long period of time, families hanging photos of their missing siblings around their neck in hoping to find them, all starving Japanese disaster victim sat quietly in order while waiting for food and never shout or cause disorder just because they don't want to add more problem to the current stricken situation...
From these situations, we can summarise that the Japanese communities are:
- A group of highly-ordered community, they are being taught to obey the rules set by authorities ever since a kid. They put priority at the overall goodness for everyone but not just oneself. This is a very good example for everyone all around the world. I highly doubt that any other country would display such a similar highly-ordered situation in a desperate condition, especially in my own country, each races cares too much about themselves.
- Even though the radioactive leak is a very dire situation, there are still 50 warriors who dare to risk their lives just to exchange for betterment of more people. These 50 warriors are mostly over 50's and some are volunteers. For helping more people by sacrificing themselves as they expose to radiation over and over again and experts said that at least 70% of them would die in 2 weeks' time, these samurai warriors set a very good example to everyone that we should not just care about ourselves, but also those around us. I cried a bit when I read this news, it's so touching.
- Natural disaster is a very great tragedy, but a caring heart shines so brightly at time like this and it warms the icing heart of us all, it's always good to know that even though we are living in a modern time but there are still kindhearted people so much caring for others.
- While living in a very calm country like Malaysia, are we ready for any unexpected event or disaster? Is our bond among races strong enough to face any challenges?
